JOIN OUR TEAM! We are now hiring for a seasonal assistant position.

We are a small, two-woman owned business with a serious dedication to teamwork, authenticity, and creativity seeking a positive person with a can-do attitude to assist us with floral deliveries, installations, strikes, and general studio maintenance. 

This is an entry level position in a fast-paced environment requiring physical labor, a positive demeanor, and the desire to learn. We are a tight-knit team of hard-working folks who hustle to get everything done exquisitely and efficiently, while having fun doing it. For the determined person interested in putting in the time, effort, and focus, you will undoubtedly be exposed to a plethora of floral design techniques and processes in this position, with the opportunity to acquire incredible experience and a deep knowledge of event floral production with time.

This is a seasonal position available immediately, and will go through the end of November, with the potential to grow within our company and opportunities to be hired on for the following season.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

-Preparing and processing materials for design.

-Keeping work areas clean, organized and safe.

-General cleaning and organizing of our studio and warehouse.

-Executing event delivery, installations, and late night-strikes.

 

SCHEDULE + PAY

-Average 10-25 hours per week Saturday through Tuesday.

-Weekend, early morning, and late night availability required.

-Event days are often split shifts, with a long unpaid break between event installation and the return for strike. On split shift days, we provide a food stipend of $25 in addition to your hourly pay for work hours.

-$15.00 an hour to start

 

REQUISITES

-Event production, and/or catering, restaurant, farm, or similar experience and references required (i.e. this is a very physically demanding job, and requires you to be quick and comfortable on your feet and in a hustle!)

-Floral design experience a plus, but not required.

-Must be thorough, organized, prompt & courteous.

-Possess extreme attention to detail.

-Able to lift 50+ lbs., and stay on your feet for extended periods of time.

-Have a driver’s license, a safe driving record, a reliable vehicle, and be comfortable driving our company cargo van

-Must be willing to travel: our studio is in Sebastopol and we produce events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties. Event locations vary each weekend. We compensate for mileage if you are driving your own vehicle to events.
